I have always received comfort from being outside, breathing fresh air, taking in the smell of the air after a storm, the crunch of leaves under my feet. I love the feeling in the fall that new and amazing things are about to happen and the excitement of the approaching holidays. I’ve been walking by this tree for weeks, but on this particular day the leaves nearly glowed in the first light of morning, a cloudless blue sky as their backdrop.
