Share.Give.Hope. The Ronald McDonald House 35th Anniversary

Moving to Philadelphia by myself for graduate school was a terrible period of adjustment for me – possibly the worst. I had just spent the summer with my soon-to-be fiance surrounded by friends and the familiar surroundings of college. Suddenly I was on my own in a one room apartment in West Philadelphia – lost.

But half a block away was the Ronald McDonald House on Chestnut Street. Every time I saw it I was reminded of families far from home praying for their sick child in a nearby hospital. It reminded me of all I had to be thankful for.

It was 35 years ago that the first Ronald McDonald House opened its doors in that very city – Philadelphia. Now McDonald’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMCH) is asking you to share your inspirational stories of how you or someone you know has been impacted by the Ronald McDonald House.

To participate in this Share.Give.Hope. campaign, go to www.rmhc.org/stories to share your stories and read those shared by others. One story shared will be featured in a national print advertising campaign for RMHC!
