Keeping up with the many changes at Walt Disney World can feel like a full time job, but two recent announcements in particular were so exciting that I had to share them with all of you. Many fans of Toontown have been concerned about finding opportunities to meet the Princesses, Fairies, and Mickey and the gang now that Mickey’s Toontown Fair has closed. This week the Disney Parks Blog announced that the Town Square Theater near the front of the Magic Kingdom will have a new meeting area where guests can meet Mickey and friends as well as the Princesses. Changes to the area include an interactive queue, much like the recent changes at Winnie the Pooh’s Hunny Pots. The most exciting aspect of this new experience is the Mickey FASTPASS! Anyone who has ever been to Mickey’s Toontown Fair knows that at times guests wait on line for hours to meet their favorite characters. The new Mickey FASTPASS will allow guests to receive a one hour time in the future when they can return to Town Square Theater and meet the characters without waiting in the stand-by line. I believe that the FASTPASS system is one of the smartest innovations at the Disney Parks, so I’m thrilled to see this experiment in adding the system to the character greeting experience.
Another update that my family is especially looking forward to on our next trip in March is the new Disney Junior – Live on Stage! Disney Junior – Live on Stage! is the updated version of the Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage! attraction at Hollywood Studios, a favorite of my kids. Guests will continue to experience Handy Mandy, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Little Einsteins segments of the performance, but now Jake and the Neverland Pirates will also be included in the story-telling and songs as the guests in the audience interact with this live show.
OMG I would have LOVED to have this fast pass during our recent trip in January!! Next year for sure!

We went to Disney for the 1st time last summer and I really thought it would be the ONLY time. But my husband (!) has been pushing, pushing, “Can’t we swing Disney again this year? Before the kids are too old?”… this post is softening me a little bit. Just a little.
The Disney Junior Live would definitely be a hit with Graham!! Have fun in March 🙂
