The first time I took my husband and children to Walt Disney World, we used our vacation to kick off the holiday season spending the week after Thanksgiving taking in the holiday decorations in each park and attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I had been to Walt Disney World many times as a child, but visiting the parks during the holiday season was a new kind of magical for me. I was hooked. We have continued to visit Walt Disney World during the holiday season every year, but this year we have decided to make a change. My family will be experiencing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year as part of our annual journey to Walt Disney World. While I know that my hand will be poised on the mouse – no, not that mouse, the computer mouse – wanting to purchase tickets to Very Merry, I’ve been curious about Not-So-Scary for years.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special event that is only held on select evenings in the Magic Kingdom between September 13th and Halloween night, October 31st. Just like the name of the event states, this Halloween party is not very scary and so is kid-friendly for kids of all ages. My children who are seven and five are looking forward to trick-or-treating for candy around Magic Kingdom. The night also features a “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade led by the Headless Horseman, a special Happy HalloWishes fireworks show, and special character greeting opportunities. Ticket prices for the event range from $47.95 to $67.95 per person when purchased in advance and from $53.95 to $67.95 per person when purchased on the event date. For more information visit Walt Disney World’s Special Events page.
I’ll be there Tuesday night for the MNSSHP!
I have never attended any of the special parties at Disney World. But, when we had annual passes to Disneyland, I loved walking around the park during each holiday because it was decorated and themed so well. Halloween especially and the Haunted House became the Nightmare before Christmas. We definitely need to make a trip to Florida!
That is going to be so fun!!! You’ll have to post some pictures for sure.
We are taking our kids to Disneyland for the first time ever next May. I think I’m just as excited as they are – maybe even more – haha!
My family has been to MNSSHP many times over the years. It’s our favorite Disney party. Your family is going to have a wonderful time there. I can just about guarantee it. 😉
