Happy Star Wars Month!
Right now there is a laminated Millennium Falcon pulled monorail cruising around my kitchen doorway, counting my family down to our first family trip to Walt Disney World in four years. Four years! When we were last there as a family, my son could still eat off of the kids’ menu and refused to ride anything more exciting than Thunder Mountain. Now he’s my height – about to pass me any day – and is eating us out of house and home. I can’t wait to watch him experience Walt Disney World in an entirely new way, but I’m most excited for this: My family’s first visit to Batuu at Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
I had the opportunity to visit Galaxy’s Edge for the first time earlier this month as part of the Rise of the Resistance grand opening celebration and media preview. December not only means the opening of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and the Resourceful Family journeying to Batuu. Perhaps the biggest Star Wars news this month is the opening of Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker on December 20th! To get ready, I’ve been spending some quality time with Kylo Ren, revisiting The Last Jedi, preparing for opening day. Be sure to check back for my review of The Rise of Skywalker!

How exciting. We can not wait to go after seeing all the attractions. We are big Star Wars fans. I remember seeing the first Star Wars when I was a little girl . I remember every moment. Now my kids are huge Star Wars fans. Let the planning to visit begin !

I love that Hollywood Studios is getting such a new fun facelift. I still enjoy the memories while I grew up with the stage lot, etc. But gosh, now with Star Wars, I’m like a kid again!

My husband is a huge StarWars fan! We are working our way through the Disney+ Mandalorian series and we watch all the movies once a year back to back! Would love to win for him!
