Festive Fridays: Last Minute Father’s Day Gifts

Father’s Day is this Sunday and if you’re hunting around to find a perfect last minute gift or are short on funds, here are a few ideas that will simply make his day. Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads out there! You are appreciated!

Gift certificates – Giving gift cards and gift certificates doesn’t have to be impersonal! Pick up a certificate for a round of golf, a gift card to their favorite store, or create your own offering them a night on the town, some pampering at home!

Fun Gadgets – Everyone loves a gadget, whether it’s for fun or to make a job a little easier. If you know he’s had his eye on a video game accessory, tool to make his job easier, or simply some new tech device, now’s a great time to surprise him!

Handmade Kid Crafts – Let the kids get creative! Help them make handprint tee shirts, cute framed pictures for his desk at work, or let their little minds go wild and come up with their own gift idea. He’ll treasure their handiwork for years to come.

Give Him a Break –  Every dad has a chore that he hates to do. Do his least favorite chore for him or hire someone to get the job done. I know my husband detests mowing the lawn, so a month of lawn service would be a Father’s Day dream come true!

Cook Up His Favorites – Throw some steaks on the grill or a lobster in the pot! Create a menu of his favorite dishes and let him know just how much he’s appreciated. Let the kids get in on the action and help with a side or dessert that can be just from them.
