After spending the winter hibernating with the family and binge watching TV shows on Netflix, nothing sounds better to me than getting out of the house for some fun with a few girlfriends. While it can sometimes be a challenge to get everyone together, it can be just what the doctor ordered to lift your spirits and recharge. Girls’ night can be as simple as meeting up for coffee or a glass of wine and a chat or you can make your night a little more special with a fun event. Here are a few ideas to get you started planning a great night out with your girlfriends.
Paint Night – Painting parties seem to be the hottest thing in girls’ nights these days. Check around for fundraiser nights or if local bars or restaurants are hosting an event on a night that works for your group. Sip on a favorite drink and let your artistic talents loose. There are sure to be lots of laughs and you’ll leave with a beautiful memento of your evening.
Old School Concert – If a favorite band from years gone by is in town, gather up the crew and put on your dancing shoes. Get ready to sing along at the top of your lungs and act like a teenager again with friends from the same era.
Craft Night – Arts and crafts aren’t just for the kids! Whether you’re into knitting, quilting, or just love finding fun craft ideas on Pinterest, creativity is always more fun with friends. For an added bonus, put a charitable spin on things and donate handmade blankets to a NICU or take crafty creations to nursing home residents to brighten their day.
Cook-off – If you and your girls love to get in the kitchen, put your skills to the test with a cook-off. Choose a challenge ingredient or have everyone make their favorite appetizer or dessert dish. Everyone wins when you get to share a delicious spread with your besties!
Spa Day – Who says girls’ night needs to happen at night? Escape for a fun weekend afternoon and get a facial or massage with your best girlfriends. Or make your own spa day at home, just hanging out with cocktails and painting your nails while you chat over your favorite TV shows.
