Decorating for the holidays is one of my favorite things. There’s just something about coming home to a warm, welcoming home all dressed up for the season. While it’s a bit frowned upon to keep your holiday decorations up year round, there are lots of fun and festive ways that you can keep that inviting feeling throughout the winter. Use some of the more neutral holiday decorations to liven up a table and create a winter feel throughout your home with plaids, silvers, and white color schemes. Take a look at what Amy did to dress up her home once the holiday décor came down:
Use winter-themed decorations with a hand-lettered sign featuring your favorite wintery quotes.
Chalkboard pennants and a wreath and candles in seasonal colors make it easy to keep your mantle dressed through the winter.
Throw pillows in a seasonal plaid always dress up a room and keep things feeling cozy.
Dress up shelves or tabletops with a bowl of pinecones and cinnamon sticks.
Keep the inviting feeling all throughout the cold months with a pretty wreath and seasonal pillows on the porch.
Making that adorable wreath for the front door was quick and easy, using items already laying around the house.
Wrap an old wreath in a spare scarf, an old shirt, or other material that you have on hand.
Inexpensive snowflake ornaments make easy embellishments. If you don’t have some on hand, check out the holiday clearance section at your favorite department or discount store.
Create your own design with your embellishments and be creative with other items around the house that would help dress it up.
Put your finished product on display and enjoy your handiwork every time you come home!
