There’s nothing sweeter than a day of love with the people you love. With Valentine’s Day falling on a weekend this year,  for many of us, we have a lot more hours to share just how much we care. Here are a few fun ideas to help you keep the Valentine’s Day love going all day long!

Start Early – Set up some fun surprises for your kiddos and special someone to wake up to! Whether you choose to give cards, flowers, small gifts, or just cut out some paper hearts to decorate around the house, there’s nothing like waking up and feeling special and loved.

Show a Little Love to Others – You’ve got a bunch of adorable creations from your earlier craft session, so it’s a great time to spread a little love around town. Whether you bake some heart shaped cookies to share with relatives or take your handmade crafts to a local nursing home to brighten the residents’ day, you’ll feel amazing and teach a great lesson to your children about caring for others.

End Your Day With a Family Date – Going out for dinner and a movie is a Valentine’s Day staple that can easily be recreated at home with a fancy dinner, decadent dessert, and streaming a family favorite on Netflix. Whether you go out or stay home, the time with the people you love most is priceless!
