To kick off the summer season and celebrate the June opening of the new Disney film Monsters University, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, and Disney’s California Adventure are open for 24 hours straight today! My daughter and I have the honor of being guests of Disney Parks today for this 24 hour, all-nighter celebration. We began our day at the Magic Kingdom at 6 a.m. for the Monstrous Summer kick-off…
We enjoyed our favorite Magic Kingdom attractions as well as watching Mike and Sully lead the way as the Grand Marshalls of the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” parade down Main Street, U.S.A.
In just a couple hours, we’ll be on a plane to California, where we will head straight to Disneyland to join their very own 24 hour Monstrous Summer celebration currently in progress. We’re looking forward to the Monsters University “TLT Monstrous” Dance Club and the late night Character Pajama Party in Mickey’s ToonTown.
Follow along on Twitter as our adventure continues in the #MonstrousSummer tag!
We are guests of Disney Parks for this event. No other compensation was provided. All opinions are my own.

Did you last the whole 24 hours? Magic Kingdom was peaceful and empty at the start and we hit Disneyland about midnight local time and the place was shoulder to shoulder packed!
You are so lucky! We watched the live feed here in England, it looked amazing! Did you get a cupcake?
