Child Passenger Safety Week

Thank you to all who were able to make last week’s Twitter event to kick-off this week’s Child Passenger Safety Week. Not able to make the event? You can still participate in this important campaign organized by NHTSA to help protect the nation’s youngest passengers.

Stop by a free child safety seat inspection station: Use this inspection station locator to find a center near you!

Learn about LATCH: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommends installing child safety seats using the LATCH system whenever available. To learn more head over to the Child Passenger Safety site for tutorials and videos.

Register your car seat: The best way to ensure that your car seat has not been recalled is to register your carseat at the NHTSA recall site.

Active in social media? Utilize Facebook and Twitter to spread the word! To learn about the social media tools available to help parents learn more about child passenger safety, please visit the Child Passenger Safety site.

Once you’ve checked out the information available regarding LATCH, be sure to take the LATCH quiz and see what you know!

If you do well, there may be some cute prizes in your future. Join us this Thursday from 8 to 9 p.m. ET as we again tweet with officials from the NHTSA regarding #childseatsafety. Ten participants who answer questions correctly will win!
