As I noted in yesterday’s post, my family does not have access to Sara Lee Fresh Bakery products. What we normally buy for our family is Wonderbread Whole Grain White. I am not only pleased with the taste, but the nutritional value is wonderful, including providing a good source of fiber as well as calcium.
Now Wonderbread’s White Breads also contain a good source of Calcium!
Emma tried Wonderbread Classic White Sandwich bread with added calcium last week as part of our packed lunch experiment. Two slices of new Wonder Classic and Wonder Classic Sandwich provide the calcium of 8 ounces of milk as well as Vitamin D.
In the past, I’ve found that products with added this or added that taste noticably different. That was not the case, and Emma enjoyed her lunches! We will probably stick with our Whole Grain White from Wonderbread, but I was very impressed with the fact that Wonderbread is adding healthy benefits into a bread that so many children enjoy daily.
GIVEAWAY: One reader will win a school year’s worth of bread for their children’s lunches! One reader will receive TWENTY LOAVES of bread! The prize comes in coupon form, so now worry about eating quickly. 😉
