As a work at home mom, I work each day to balance job responsibilities and my time with my children. With only three mornings of child care each week, I have always used nap time to schedule calls. Recently I hosted a web conference for invited bloggers to connect with a government agency regarding an important cause. Thinking that a one hour chat during my child’s two hour nap should be no problem, I expected a smooth call. With just minutes to go, my three year old toddled into my office, silently climbed into my lap, and then let out the biggest sigh I had ever heard….to the forty people on the call.
