Twitter Chat with MADD

Everyone knows that when moms get together, we like to gab! However, beyond swapping stories and product picks, we also take time to explore issues that worry us and causes we want to get behind.

Join Maria Bailey for two candid discussions to bring awareness to PowerTalk 21®, the national day for parents to start talking with their kids about alcohol, sponsored by our friends at Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD).

The statistics are staggering; teen alcohol use kills about 6,000 people each year, more than all illegal drugs combined. It’s easy to see why MADD is going beyond just drunk driving, to reach the underlying issue.

However, they know that they can’t do it alone. They rely on parents like us to educate our children on the dangers of underage drinking. That’s why they started the Power of Parents program sponsored by Nationwide Insurance to designate April 21st as PowerTalk 21 day. It’s a day for parents, kids and communities can take positive steps to open communications using the Power of Parents program and work together to end underage drinking.

We want to make sure the conversation starts even earlier, which is why we’re hosting these valuable discussions. Join us to learn more about how you can help further MADD’s life-saving work! We’ll be giving away several $25 Visa gift cards, as a thank you for taking part in this important movement.
