“Just Ask” Life List Twitter Party

Last August I wrote a brief post about the fifteen things I’d like to do in my lifetime or what some people refer to as a “bucket list.”  Some readers told me that the list was unattainable while others encouraged me to not only add more to it, but to get moving crossing things off of it!  A list with only fifteen?  A cake walk! Creating that list was a fun experience in the final days of summer, but now I’d like to share something a bit more serious with you while I add to my own list.

My latest additions…

1. Take my mother to Germany so that we can find our relatives in the old town records.

2. Plan my daughter’s wedding.

3. Rock my grandchildren to sleep while their parents complain that I’m spoiling them.

4. Learn how to trim my rose bushes without killing them.

5. Do all of the things that I enjoyed when I was a child: draw, sing, laugh, ride my bike, ski, play music, write.

While I can step outside of my home today and ride my bike or sing along to my favorite songs while I write this post, some of these things are going to take time. My kids are five and seven. I’ve got awhile to wait before that little guy in the picture becomes a father. For that, I am going to need to be here.  And that’s why it’s so important that I “Just Ask.”

The people at Just Ask want you to stay around for a good long while so you can cross activities and achievements off that bucket list of yours. That’s why they’ve developed a test that could save your life—the BRACAnalysis test—by warning you about your chances of getting breast or ovarian cancer.
