Hellmann’s Super Moist Chocolate Mayo Cake

To celebrate their 100th anniversary this year, Hellmann’s has teamed up with Mario Batali to create .  I was challenged by Hellmann’s to create one of Mario’s dishes and see if my family could guess the secret ingredient – Hellmann’s Mayonaise!  I love a challenge that involves food and chose .

This recipe, featured on the , is incredibly simple requiring only the following ingredients: eggs, chocolate cake mix, water, and of course, Hellmann’s mayo.  I was able to quickly whip up the sweet treat between swim team practice and piano lessons, icing it just in time for dessert.  The kids had no idea that the secret ingredient was actually Hellmann’s, making the cake light and spongy yet moist and delicious.
