Green Cleaning with Laundry Alternative

As you all know by now, we’re giving away this cute little guy to the left – The Laundry Alternative, Inc. mini-countertop spin dryer as well as his big brother, Wonderwash, at a great party tomorrow night on Twitter.

But did you know that we’re going to be tweeting with some wonderful Green Cleaning Experts?

Please join us as we chat with:

Tina Williams, @newoldmom and @bestreflections. About a decade ago, Tina and her family lost everything to pesticide poisoning – their home, their health, their quality of life. She went on to work as a Parent Advocate training safety committees and facilities managers on green cleaning in New York and because of her family’s continuing health issues, Tina must stay on top of current issues and standards. At the time of her initial devastation due to pesticide poisoning, Tina was on Good Morning America, CNN, and PBS to just name a few. Tomorrow night she will tweet with us!

Leslie Reichert, @greenyourclean Leslie Reichert is a “green” cleaning coach and the owner of the Back Door—a vacuum and homekeeping store now celebrating 18 years in Uxbridge, Massachusetts and nationally online at TheJoyofGreenCleaning.com. For years Leslie supervised a large residential cleaning service in the Blackstone Valley(MA). After cleaning 100-150 homes a week Leslie saw what harsh chemicals could do to your body–and she learned about the green alternatives that do work to clean your home. She has also seen, firsthand, scores of parents who fight a daily battle with asthma and allergies, which many believe are caused by using harsh chemicals in the home. Three years ago she realized she wanted to share her knowledge and encourage people in the “art” of homekeeping and green cleaning and since then she has become a coach, a presenter, and a speaker for the green cleaning industry.

Jennifer Taggart, @thesmartmama, is a mom of 2, former environmental engineer, consumer product & environmental attorney and founder of TheSmartMama, website and consulting business. As a consultant, Jennifer provides in house XRF testing for lead, mercury and other potentially toxic elements in consumer products and tips and solutions for reducing chemicals and going green, from the bathroom to the kitchen. She is the author of the forthcoming Smart Mama’s Green Guide: Simple Steps to Reduce Your Child’s Toxic Chemical Exposure (due June 2009). In addition to her own blog, Jennifer blogs for 5 Minutes for Going Green, LA Moms Blog, and Healthy Child Healthy World. She has great simple tips for greening the cleaning.
