Over the years, I’ve implemented a number of different styles of decor in our home. During the early years of our marriage my house looked very similar to my mom’s. I did most of my shopping in her attic, taking items off her hands that she was no longer using. While I still have a good mix of hand-me-downs and sentimental keepsakes, my personal style is beginning to shine through as we are able to redecorate various rooms in our home.
Recently, my husband and I gave our living room a complete floor to ceiling face lift. We painted the walls, laid new carpet, ordered new furniture, replaced light fixtures, and hung new artwork on the walls. In my opinion, hanging artwork is the most difficult part about decorating. I’m uncertain how to arrange items and terrified to commit to nailing any holes in the wall. We’ve only hung a few pictures. I suppose I haven’t found anything I like enough to risk the commitment of using a hammer and nails. The only pictures we’ve hung are a grouping of black and white photos of our family and extended family throughout the years. Every time I walk by them I smile. I love to reminisce over each picture.
I was thrilled when CanvasChamp reached out to me to help them spread the word about their canvas prints. They provided me with a 16×20 canvas print to create and display in my home. Since my favorite pieces of artwork currently on display are of memories, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to include more personal artwork in our decor in a very professional way. The color scheme in our living room is orange and grey. I had taken the perfect photo of a beautiful scene from one of our favorite Michigan destinations that would tie in nicely. I couldn’t wait to get started!
The ordering process was quick and easy. Their user-friendly interface walked me through the process. All I had to do was choose the size of the canvas print, upload my photo, center it, choose a few additional options, and click on “Add to Cart”! I was amazed at how easy it was from start to finish.
Once my canvas print was ordered, I received a confirmation email letting me know it was being processed. The picture was printed and shipped fast and efficiently. It took about a week to arrive with standard shipping. It arrived packaged really well, so well that it took me quite some time to get it open. But, I was happy to know that it was well-protected while being transported. I received an email when it was delivered, and since I work from home I got up from my desk and grabbed it off our front porch. Of course, I couldn’t wait to open it, so I hopped on Facebook Live and recorded this unboxing video to document the process.
I am really impressed with the care and detail that Canvas Champ provides with their canvas prints. The edges are crisp and clean and the corners are neatly folded around the frame. The picture is backed with a firm particle board to protect the canvas from tearing and the hangers are fastened at each end for a stable wall mount.
I’m very excited to incorporate our new canvas print in our living room decor. My plan is to hang some shelving and do a grouping of items we’ve collected from our travels around our home state of Michigan. For now, I’ve hung it on one of our grey walls and it contains the perfect combination of colors to tie our color scheme together.
