Believe it or not, what grown-ups tell kids sometimes goes in one ear and out the other (gasp)! All jokes aside, often this means kids are missing out on something they really need from us – encouraging words. After all, we know being a kid today can be tough! In fact, Hallmark research reveals we moms may think we are encouraging our kids all the time, but in the moments when kids most needed encouragement, they couldn’t recall our “I love yous” and “You can do its.”
Each of us have special children in our lives. And for those of us who are parents, supporting our kids is a MAJOR part of the job description.
To help grown-ups better connect with and encourage kids, Hallmark recently released the all-new Kids Collection, a line of cards and gifts designed specifically to cheer kids on, cheer them up and make them smile! Helping encouraging words from parents and grandparents stick, they are little reminders to a child that you’re rooting for them every step of the way.
For more great tips and discussion on encouraging kids, join us this Friday, March 5th from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. EST for Hallmark’s “Cheer ‘em On! Encouraging a Special Child in Your Life” Twitter Party! During this party, we’ll be joined by Hallmark writers Sarah Mueller and Molly Wigand who will share some of the inspiration that led to Kids Collection to encourage kids and they’re eager to hear all the ways you encourage your own kids, too. They’ll also be giving away some sweet prizes from Hallmark to several lucky participants, so you definitely won’t want to miss it!
It’s all about helping you in your job as a cheerleader, so save the date! And as always, don’t forget the #hallmarkmom hashtag!
