Wordless Wednesday: Superstar!

Anyone who has ever waterskied knows that when you’re ready to stop (because you’re exhausted or completely bored out of your mind from watching tree after tree go by…) you make the “cut” signal to let the people in the boat know not to drive away and leave you floating in the middle of a lake.  Once you’ve indicated that you’re done (it seriously is boring just standing there behind a boat, hanging on for dear life…), you toss the rope out and away from you.  Last month when I skied for the first time in years , something made me throw my hands up in the air as I slowly sank down into the water.  I don’t know if I was suddenly Molly Shannon doing “Superstar!”, if I was reverting back to my cheerleading days, or if I was just filled with pure joy at what I had accomplished, but my mom managed to catch this crazy moment.  It’s been a rough couple of weeks, so today, this is exactly what I needed.

  • Oh my gosh! That’s a woo hoo moment!! Great photo catch by “mom”.

    • She owed me that catch after 33 years of pictures that only show me making a mean face, eating, or talking 😉

      • My mom was good for taking headless photos. I was lucky at 5 feet tall but anyone taller didn’t have a head. ;D.

  • I haven’t water-skied in years. I used to love it. Wonder if thats why I have knee problems now. Tubing was also a fun thing to do!
