Potatoes are a Fresh, Natural Choice for Gluten-Free Eating
According to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness, an estimated 3 million Americans suffer from side effects associated with eating foods that contain gluten. To make it easier to find quick and flavorful meal ideas for those affected with celiac disease, the United States Potato Board (USPB)partnered with Jen Cafferty, founder of the Gluten-Free Cooking Expo and President of Gluten-Free Life with Jen, to review its database of potato recipes. The results? The discovery of more than 80 gluten free recipes at your fingertips at www.potatogoodness.com!
Join us for a Twitter party to dish on all things potato! We’ll celebrate this enhanced database and share insigtful tips for eating gluten free.
Don’t miss the Twitter party on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 8:00 PM EST, where these tips and recipe ideas will be shared. We will also give away prizes that include USPB swag bags with super-cute potato scrubbing gloves and two chances to win $100 gift cards!

About the United States Potato Board
The United States Potato Board was established in 1971 by a group of potato growers to promote the benefits of eating potatoes. Recognized as an innovator in the produce marketing industry, the USPB adopted a new campaign in 2008. “Potatoes… Goodness Unearthed®” showcases the appeal of naturally nutrient-rich potatoes, also known as America’s favorite vegetable. Based in Denver, Colo., the USPB represents more than 4,000 potato growers and handlers across the country. To unearth more goodness about the USPB and its programs, visit www.potatogoodness.com.
I have celiac disease and am gluten free, thanks for offering a party to help others learn more. I hope that people do not treat this as just a “fad” diet.
Sounds good!
