National Women Build Week Twitter Party

With flowers blooming and a warm breeze in the air, spring has finally made her grand entrance.  That means that it’s nearly time for Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week, May 4-12, which challenges women to devote at least one day during this week to help build affordable housing in their local communities. In its sixth year, National Women Build Week is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s, who has committed $1.75 million to the 2013 National Women Build Week.

Since Habitat’s Women Build Program was created, more than 2,100 Habitat for Humanity Women Build houses have been constructed in partnership with low-income families. With your help spreading the word, we can build homes in partnership with even more families this year! Join us for a Twitter party on May 1 at 2 p.m. ET to learn about National Women Build Week, what you can do to help eliminate poverty housing and other Women Build volunteer opportunities available year round throughout the U.S.
