31 Days of Disney: Disney Inspired Pumpkins

Over the weekend we spent some time carving pumpkins to distract from preparing for Hurricane Sandy. My son wanted anyone from Disney’s Phineas and Ferb, and my daughter requested Tinker Bell. We found a variety of Disney inspired pumpkin carving templates at Disney’s Family.com, including one for Tinker Bell and one for Phineas. While it would have been easier had we had a pumpkin carving kit, we were able to create these pumpkins by taping the template to the pumpkin and using toothpicks to poke holes through the paper and into the pumpkin skin. I then used a steak knife and a paring knife to carve following the toothpick dots.

We were happy with the finished products!

  • Cute! I like the Tinkerbell one. Did they look pretty lit up?

    • I haven’t lit them yet, unfortunately. We got them carved, photographed, then snuggled tight against the house to ride out Hurricane Sandy. Hoping this passes for Wednesday night!

  • i love the tinkerbell but if you had not mentioned phineas and ferb, I would not have known LOL
