Even though my children are now eight and nearly six and both read fluently on their own, they both, thankfully, still enjoy reading both with me and my husband. Some of my favorite memories of them as toddlers and pre-schoolers were the moments we spent curled up together reading book after book, looking at the pictures, laughing at the rhymes, enjoying spending time together. We recently were sent a copy ofBecause Your Mommy Loves You, written by Andrew Clements and illustrated by R.W. Alley. Last year we had the opportunity to review the companion book, Because Your Daddy Loves You, so I was happy to have the mom version to share with my kids. My family enjoyed reading Because Your Mommy Loves You together and will surely read it during many bedtimes to come.

This book sounds wonderful to read to my 2 little granddaughters. The title is something I’m always saying to them, “… because your Mommy loves you.” And at other moments I’m saying, “… because your Daddy loves you.”
