I cannot believe that it has been two years since Leah Segedie launched the Mamavation movement, nor can I believe that it took me this long to get on board! I continue to look to Leah and the Sistahood for support as I take one day at a time, striving to make the right nutrition and exercise choices. I also continue to be amazed at this new body. Beyond the numbers on the scale and on the tags inside my new jeans, I’m in love with the way my arm cuts in at my triceps, how different my quads feel when I lean down to shave in the shower, how much easier it is to bound up the steps several times a day. Mamavation is a weight loss campaign and social media experiment brought to you byEA SPORTS Active & Chefs Requested. The Mamavation campaign is a unique movement in social media. Not only does it support two moms (Mamavation Moms), it also supports the first virtual healthy living sorority in social media called “The Sistahood.”
Mamavation Moms are put though a 7-week healthy living bootcamp. The receive a professional nutritional plan created by Alyssa Bejenaru, a fitness program created byDaniel Alarik, aka @Gruntstyle, and weekly coaching by Pete Cohen. They will also receive an EA SPORTS Active 2, personalized nutritional & fitness program from our professionals, a Gruve, & weekly Chefs Requested steaks for family meals. Their lives become a virtual open book with twists and turns and real life challenges they must overcome. The purpose behind the campaign is to inspire moms all over the internet to live a healthier lifestyle and share those experiences with their families. The program is managed by @bookieboo, Leah Segedie, who has successfully gone from a size 22 to a size 6 herself and has kept it off over a year. She is no stranger to hard work and overcoming challenges in weight loss as a mom.
