Twizzlers Landmark Summer Roadtrip

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I grew up traveling with my family to state and national parks, landmarks and historical sites.  I remember long rides in the car, including a multiple day road trip from Pennsylvania to Alabama and back again.  I am so thankful that my children not only have picked up my side of the family’s travel bug, but that they also are happy travelers! Here’s a shot of my daughter a couple years ago, pleasantly waiting out a long drive with the help of her friend, Lambsie:

My kids have pleasantly tolerated airport delays – both on the tarmac and in the terminal – have sat calmly through traffic tie-ups, and have become experts at avoiding asking the dreaded road trip question, “Are we there yet?” They deserve a fun trip!  So I am so thrilled that we are kicking off our summer this year with a Twizzlers Landmark Summer Road Trip! Beginning today we will be traveling in the Twizzlers van to some of the MidAtlantic regions most recognizable landmarks: historic downtown Philadelphia, Hershey – home of Chocolate World and Hershey Park!, and even swinging by the factory where Twizzlers are made.  Check out our sweet ride.

We’re honored to be helping to get the wheels turning on the Twizzlers Landmark Summer. Last week Audrey from Mom Generations took her family to our nation’s capital, Washington, DC, and we’re happy to take over as blogging families drive the Twizzlers van across the entire country over the course of the summer.  To learn more and enter to win valuable prizes, visit:

I hope you’ll join us on our journey!  And be sure to enter to win on the Twizzlers Landmark Summer Resourceful Mommy giveaway as well. Good luck!

Disclosure: Travel accommodations and expenses were paid for as a part of this sponsored opportunity with Twizzlers.  All opinions are my own.  And yeah, that crazy kid with the lamb on her head is mine, too.

The historical place of Columbia, CA is my favorite place to visit during the summer. They have the best candy store around. This candy store has been in Columbia for years. Some of the best homemade candy you can find.

I thought about you yesterday when I picked up my daughter from preschool. They are studying tadpoles and frogs, and they all had Twizzlers sticking out of their mouths. I said “oh, you have Twizzlers!” and a little boy said, “NO! They’re frog tongues!” Then they said I was a bug and tried to eat me. It was so cute

  • Oh, soooo much fun!! Take lots of pics and have a great time!

  • Hoping you had a blast! How can you NOT have fun in such a fun van!!!
