Disney Updates and Sneak Peeks

How do you know that your husband loves you?  When you’re in a conference all day, he is riding Dumbo with the kids, and he thinks to pull out the camera to snap this behind the scenes photo of the Fantasyland Expansion at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

It’s so exciting to see the progress being made behind the wall as Mickey’s Toontown Fair is closed and preparations have begun to move Dumbo to its new location.

Another change as a result of the Toontown shut down was the creation of the meet and greet area for Mickey and Pals in Town Square. Mickey debuted in his new location on April 1st in the new Town Square Theater, which occupies the space previously known as Town Square Exposition Hall.  You’ll now be able to get in line to meet the Princesses or Mickey and Pals OR choose to receive a FASTPASS to return to meet the characters at a later time.  I’m looking forward to trying the FASTPASS system for character meet and greets!

Looking for the Disney Fairies that used to reside in Toontown?  During the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, guests can meet the Fairies at the Pixie Hollow display situated between MouseGear and Test Track. While there be sure to stop by the cast member table to receive the Disney Fairies guide and crayon to complete the rubbings throughout the display.  Once you’ve completed every station, return to the table to receive a set of stickers.

Now that the changes for Fantasyland are moving forward quickly, what new feature are you most looking forward to?
