I love hosting Twitter Parties with Leah from Mamavation because we always have an amazing time, but one fringe benefit is that I have also gotten to know a bit about Earth Footwear during our Twitter Party journey. Recently we worked together on a party for Earthies, the latest footwear line from Earth Footwear, and I was smitten with the shoes from first glance. Just as my sneakers from Earth Footwear are more than just a walking shoe, the Earthies are more than just a fashion shoe. As the Earthies site explains:
Delivering on the promise of “Wellness. Elevated ”, every Earthies® style features a unique wellness footbed. A cupped heel sets the foot into the proper supported position. An anatomic arch increases touch points along the transition from the heel to forefoot. And, a cradle toe area evenly distributes weight away from the toes.
I have fairly high arches, so arch support has always been an issue for me. In fact, I like to joke that my feet are the thinnest, most nicely shaped part of my body 😉 I received The Tropez in red suede to review, and I actually spent quite a bit of time wearing them around the house to get a feel for this unique sole. The first thing I noticed was how tall I felt! These shoes have very serious elevation, but my foot didn’t get the same feeling I get when I normally wear such high heels/platforms. They are phenomenally comfortable. I also felt safe walking around in them, even on my slick tiles and hardwood floors. I’m a sneakers-every-day kind of girl, so to feel like the shoes are not just attractive, but comfortable and secure is a huge deal for me. And look how cute my foot looks in them:
One lucky Resourceful Mommy reader will win a pair of Earthies Tropez shoes (color not specified) like the ones I reviewed above (ARV: $149.00)
