Wordless Wednesday: Seven

She scowls at me and rolls her eyes.  She helps clean up after meals without being asked.  She tells her brother that she doesn’t want to be near him.  She cleans her room and makes her bed completely unprompted.  She hates me.  She loves me.  She wants to be a big kid.  She wants to be my baby in her mother’s arms.  This is seven.

  • Awww…this takes me back to 7 years old. I think it’s so important for us moms who are raising daughters to stay connected with ourselves at their age and remember what it was like.

Happy 7th birthday!! What a great smile and happy girl. Enjoy your celebration. =)

  • My 7 year old is about to turn 8 in a few days. Oy!! Love these birthday girls!

  • I love this! My little one just turned eight, what a journey.

  • A very good description of seven! E is gorgeous by the way!

  • That sounds like seven to me! For the record, it also sounds like eleven in our house. Great picture!

  • She’s beautiful! I guess those things you mentioned are what I have to look forward to when my girls turn seven! 🙂

  • My kiddo has a big day coming up soon. Where does the time go?

  • Oh, girl! You have just described my 7yo to a T! Except for the cleaning up part. But she does help set the table, and one day she “washed” all the windows in the house! I’ll take the streaks, since she gets so proud of herself!

  • just wait until ms. 7 turns into 11 . . . glad she’s a sweetheart now
