American Heart Association Twitter Event

Every five years, the American Heart Association releases new CPR guidelines.  October 18th, the AHA will be releasing the newest CPR guidelines, and you will have a chance to find out what these changes mean for instructors, healthcare providers, and the general public.  Please join us October 21st for a Twitter event to learn the answers to your questions such as how CPR is different for adults, children, and infants, how to become CPR certified, and even how to become a CPR instructor.  I hope you’ll be able to make it for this important hour on Twitter.

    I hope to be at the American Heart Association Twitter party. My mom recently found out that she had suffered a silent heart attack. She had no idea it had happened to her. It was discovered during testing for another health issue. I look forward to learning all sorts of new things at the Twitter party. Thanks for hosting it!

    • Janet, there is heart disease in my family as well – my father had six bypasses – so I understand how you’re feeling. I hope you can make it and hear from Dr. Sayre about the new CPR guidelines!

    I look forward to the discussion. I lost my dad to heart disease

    • I am so, so sorry for your loss. I would love if you could join us and help us spread the word about the importance of knowing proper CPR…and using it!

  • @JoRae17

    I would love to take part of this interesting discussion.

    I will try to be there – but afternoon parties are hard for me!

    @Doodle741

    • Hey, Sara, I know – I’m sorry! Some folks love the afternoon parties and some prefer the evenings. We like to schedule our informative chats (rather than parties) in the afternoon to really highlight the brevity of the information. If you want to check out the information post-party, do a search of the #CPRGuide tag. Dr. Sayre is going to share incredibly important guidelines.

    I have a son and I need to know CPR to be prepared for any emergency

    I will try to make it! I know this will be an informative party about CPR. My Dad passed from a massive heart attack right before Christmas in 1985 when my son was 8 months old. My Mom found out shortly after his passing that she had had a silent heart attack. I actually had an ESP experience concerning this through a dream I had during my stay at the hospital after giving birth to my son. I now tell anyone I have a troubling dream about their health, etc.,ever since this happened. I guess all of us have a touch of ESP.
