If there’s one thing I love, it’s a challenge, especially when it comes to shopping. My mom and I used to hit the sales racks together spending hours sorting through piles hoping to find the best deal on the items we loved. After a long day of shopping we’d return home, cut the tags, and grab the calculators. Our goal? Save more than we spent.
Resourceful Shopping is still my favorite way to shop for clothing for my family – printing coupons, hitting sales events, and taking my time looking through the clearance racks. To get the most bang for your buck, you’ve got to be patient and research ahead of time, but the pay-off can be huge.
Today I headed to Old Navy to hit the Baby Sale going on now through 9/23. My little man wears a 4T and it was time to stock up on long-sleeved shirts for the fall. With my $100 gift card in hand (thank you, Old Navy!), I set out to buy as many fashionable and fun items for my son as I could for $100. So how did I do?
By shopping during this sale with the lowest prices of the season, I was able to buy these 15 items (ARV: $166.43) for $100.69!
I was especially excited about some of the long-sleeved graphic tees (my little guy loves the shirt with the drums!) as well as the very fashion-forward purple tops for boys. Purple happens to be his favorite color, so it was nice that he finally has some purple of his own. I was also impressed with the inclusion of khakis, jeans, and cords in the sale and stocked up on a pair of each. Check out some of my favorites…
Are you ready to take the Resourceful Shopping challenge?
One lucky reader will receive a $100 Old Navy shopping spree, but everyone can save now by printing out the 30% off one item coupon and shopping the Old Navy Baby Sale (ends 9/23)!
