I recently saw Dr. Laura Schlessinger on Larry King during a late night working on my laptop. My husband sat beside me and gasped periodically as Dr. Laura said things about women – particularly about moms – that caught him somewhat off guard. The fact of the matter is that Dr. Laura is often controversial and is in some ways polarizing. But she is honest, she is sincere, and most often….she is right.
Being a mother is hard. There is guilt involved, regardless of our choices. For many, there is guilt in not having the resources available to have choices in the first place! There are women who work for the love of career, who work for the love of money, and who work to survive. There are women who stay home because they think it’s right, who stay home because they feel it’s their calling, and stay home…but wish they were not.
This Mother’s Day, Dr. Laura Schlessinger would like to celebrate all of those women.
On May 5th in 450 movie theaters around the country, Dr. Laura will be part of a live event to celebrate moms. This one of a kind celebration promise to be funny and heartwarming. I am holding a quick spring to the finish, 24 hour turnaround contest to give one reader 2 tickets to the May 5th event at a theater near them and one SIGNED copy of Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s book, In Praise of Mom!
To win just comment on this post by telling Resourceful Mommy readers what you love most about being a mom!
Contest is open to all U.S. residents and ends Wednesday at 2 p.m. eastern time.
