Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week Twitter Party

WB Lowe's Identifier 2014 (4)Spring is here and everyone is looking for a good excuse to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine! Spring also means that it’s time once again for Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week! From May 3-11, more than 13,000 women will volunteer at Habitat for Humanity build sites across the country. Now in its seventh year, Habitat’s National Women Build Week challenges women to devote at least one day to help build affordable housing in their local communities.

Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week is a nationwide initiative of Habitat’s Women Build program that was developed in partnership with Lowe’s. Lowe’s committed more than $1.75 million to 2014 National Women Build Week and will provide $5,000 gift cards to 300 participating Habitat affiliates. Since Habitat’s Women Build national program was created in 1998, more than 2,200 homes have been built in partnership with low-income families using Women Build crews.
