Congratulations to the winner of the Resourceful Mommy Road Warrior Alliance giveaway!
Next month we’ll be heading out on our yearly road trip to western Pennsylvania. The journey is always worth it once we get there, but the problem with spending a few days at a lake in the mountains is…well, the problem is the mountains. If you suffer from motion sickness, there’s nothing quite like going up and down and around and ’round mountains to make you reach for the Dramamine. Thankfully, I’ll be prepared.
It doesn’t take a three hour drive through the mountains of western Maryland and Pennsylvania to qualify as a family road trip, however. Earlier this month my family and I piled into the car to head just an hour north to a minor league baseball game. To avoid traffic, we hopped on the back (winding, curving – gah!) roads. Not only did I have my motion sickness cures with me, but I also took the wheel, one of my personal tricks to avoid feeling the effects of motion sickness.
It was well worth the drive!
We had great seats behind the plate where my son could carefully watch each pitch, looking up to see the speed on the board. We all felt great and were able to stay all the way through, even enjoying the fireworks at the end of the night. It was a summer quick trip that we’ll never forget!
