This may be difficult to believe considering I’m sharing this information via my blog, but I can be a bit of a feet-dragger when it comes to technology. Even after becoming a full time Twitter party hostess, I still held on to my nearly useless cell phone for months, and I clung to my film camera long after digital cameras had become commonplace.
I’ve come a long way in the last four years that I’ve been blogging, but now the pendulum seems to have swung the other way. I’ve become that mom whose pictures live only on her phone, an SD card, or on Facebook. Despite the fact that we’ve lived in our home for two years, most of our walls remain bare, our frames still holding pictures from several years ago.
One of my goals for the upcoming year is to save the images of my children from a digital death and bring them back to life on our walls! I’ve gotten started by partnering with Staples to review their EasyCanvas, which is now available online and makes a fantastic holiday gift. EasyCanvas prints allow you to take a photograph and turn it into wall art by converting the picture to canvas. Available in three different sizes – 11″ x 14″, 12″ x 12″, and 16″ x 20″ – Staples Easy Canvas comes mounted on a special lightweight frame, making it easy to hang…even if you’ve neglected your bare walls for years like I have.
While I’m having my EasyCanvas created, I am also going to be taking advantage of photo enlargement services at Staples. Unlike the digital pictures hidden away in the dark depths of my computer, I have old photographs that are locked into the confines of four by six inches. If I’m going to cover these walls, I’ve got to get some of these photos up for the challenge and that means enlarging at least to eight by ten inches!
My next step is to choose a photo for my Easy Canvas. Enter to win your own Staples Easy Canvas by telling me in comments which of these three photos you think I should select for my EasyCanvas! It’s that easy! This contest is open to U.S. residents age 18 and older and ends 12/10/12 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
The Staples Easy Canvas makes a wonderful holiday gift, so I’m sure that one lucky reader will love receiving the code for a free EasyCanvas! Looking for other personalized gifts this year?
