31 Days of Disney: How May I Help You?

Today I spent an hour with a friend who is embarking on her first Disney journey, hoping to plan a trip for her family and her sister’s family to fall the end of next year.  For those new to the world of Disney vacations, the experience can seem daunting, the terms like a foreign language.  Deluxe, Moderate and Value?  ADR?  Park hoppers?  We sat down and talked about everything from resort options for a family of five to whether or not the Disney Dining Plan is a good value.

And it dawned on me. I’m blogging about Disney all month long, but what if you have questions that I’m not answering?

From now until the end of the month, please leave any and all Disney questions you have in the comments section of this post, and at the end of the month I will answer as many of them as possible!  Feel free to ask me anything and if I don’t know the answer, I promise to find out from someone who does.

I can’t wait to see what you want to know!

    Hi Amy,

Here is my question. We leave in 8 days (OMG!!!) and while this will be my 3rd trip so I’m pretty set on things like scheduling days in the parks etc… I was wondering something.

This is my first time with the dining plan that includes 1 table service, 1 counter service, and 1 snack per person, per day. This is a big change because in the past we got the Deluxe plan.

With the exception of 1 day on this trip, I have us doing counter service for lunch and table service for dinner each night.

So my question is how much money should I set aside for breakfast each day and perhaps a few extra snacks?

    Thanks for your help! :)

How far in advance should you book hotel reservations if you’re planning on staying at a Disney World property (like the new Art of Animation)? Also, do you have any information on purchasing trip insurance? We’re taking our first trip next fall with our children and taking my grandparents (their great-grandparents) with us. Though they’re both in excellent health, my grandfather insists that we get trip insurance “just in case”.
